BHC / Fiserv
BHC Pro
This was the first project for the RSD process. U1.net (then Universal) drove the BHC Pro project and reported directly to the VP of development. U1.net managed internal staff as well as BHC employees. BHC Pro provides an interface to BHC Broker / Dealers so that the can access their products and all back office reports over the Internet. The data resides on the BHC Tandem systems. BHC had an existing communication module used to access the Tandem systems for trading purposes. The BHC Pro project analyzed this interface, recommended enhancements and built an interface to web enable the data. In addition to the data itself, a complex security module was required to manage entitlements mapping between the users and the various types of information available online.
The successful application of the Discovery process proved extremely valuable. It provided documentation about the business processes, people and systems in the organization. The Discovery documentation was used as a foundation for various projects with in BHC. Within the BHC Pro project, the Discovery documentation provided a tool to introduce new participants to the project.

and email. As College Savings Bank grew so did their infrastructure and
security needs. U1.net was there every step of the way to provide the

U1 has developed several web sites for this Fortune 100 company. The first website was their informational home site. This site gives customers the ability to view product and service catalogs, register online, view specific on-line presentations, and streaming video. Additional web sites we have built for this company provide a wide variety of e-commerce solutions to specific customers. Along with the typical e-commerce functionality, a few of the special features from these sites include: personalized parts lists, recommended maintenance procedures, buying history patterns, and a complete end to end solution for vendor, supplier and the customer. We are currently making changes and enhancements to two highly successful e-commerce websites. One of these sites targets service shops that need specialized tools to maintain and fix particular aircraft engines. The other targets small commercial aircraft engine shops that need specific parts. These customers can order parts directly or ask for a quote. What makes this site unique is the integration into the companies Ordering Management System. Orders are sent by the web to their custom ordering system and filled by a sales representative. Order status, order history, and inventory updates are sent to the website on scheduled intervals. This seamless interface provides important information to be immediately available to the customer through the web thus increasing customer satisfaction, productivity, and sales. The platforms for this development and hosting ranged from Netscape Enterprise Server, Microsoft NT, Unix, Linix, and Apache. We have used Java, ASP and VBScript in the majority of the development. All look and feel and navigation was developed within u1.net graphics department. Database access ranged from Oracle, XML, and direct access to the companies back-end systems.

loyalty marketing industry. The flagship resources are COLLOQUY, a quarterly

colloquy.com, the most comprehensive loyalty Web site in the world. Together
they provide a worldwide audience of 16,000+ subscribers with news,
editorial, educational and research services that blanket the loyalty
marketing industry.
U1.net provided the full scale Software Project for developing the website and its management tools. The application was built with ASP on Windows NT with database access through Oracle. Windows Index Server is utilized for site and content specific searching.
The application was built to allow the editors and colloquy team to provide articles and information to their subscribed customers with ease and reliability. The back-end functionality allows for articles to be "staged" for team reviews, approval and rolled out to the live site. Information is sent to specialized customers with personalized emails through the u1.net Bulk-Mail System, Zip Time. Colloquy uses this application to send over 1 million emails each year. Treacking and reporting on the success of these campaigns are also part of the system.

U1.net provided an Extranet Application for the Tunnell employees and their contactors to help gather, distribute, and report information that was critical to their business.
The Extranet is built on Windows .net architecture on a Windows 2000 environment with data access through SQL Server. U1.net provides security, hosting and system maintenance on this entire environment.
The Extranet Application consists of specialized areas that are accessed through strict user privileges maintained by the site admin. All site admin capabilities are integrated on the site. Functional areas include: Access Control, Knowledge Management, Asset Management, Human Resource Portal, Time and Expense Portal, and secure Financial Reports and Summaries

u1.net performed the Transformation and Loading Module development for AT&T's Information Repository Data Warehouse project which provides reporting information on Alarm Events and Work Orders based on certain identified dimensions. The design defined a Staging Server for the module which allows the Production Data Warehouse Server to be accessed uninterrupted during the transformation process.
The general flow of the Transformation and Loading module starts with the extraction of source files to a Staging Database using loader scripts. The Transformation Program is then executed in the Staging DataBase which reads the staging tables and inserts the transformed data to the Target Staging Tables in the Staging Database using PL/SQL scripts. The Loading Program then reads the Target Staging Tables and loads the data into the appropriate tables in the Production Data Warehouse Database using PL/SQL scripts.

RADirect is a value-added online distributor specializing in data
communications and telecommunications access equipment, security & business
continuity solutions. Products includes Fiber Multiplexers and Modems,
Migration of legacy services to IP, Voice Transmission Solutions, xDSL Last
Mile, Load Balancing solutions, IP SAN switches, CSU/DSUs, Routers,
Firewall/VPNs and more.
U1.net provided a full Software Development Project that brought these products to the Internet. The website was built with ASP on Windows 2000. Interfaces include Worldship UPS shipping system, and internal access to oracle for orders and inventory management to other systems. The Project consisted of the following Functional Areas: Full Site Management, Catalog Management through Saqqara, User Management, Back-end functionality to process orders, quotes, returns, promotions, shipping, and resellers.

In addition, u1.net designed, developed and managed the roll out of a enterprise-wide, multi-platform performance trending web-based system. The system forecasted cpu, disk, network and memory utilization and predicted when bottlenecks would be reached. We also provided management of their resources and projects at the JP Morgan Chase account.
